“Digital Preservation Management in Libraries and Documentation Centers”
Libraries, archives, museums, and other repositories acquire reading materials through several different channels. Today, when more and more content and data are born digital or converted to digital to enhance access, the libraries and archives are facing challenges for effective digital preservation to keep these content accessible not just now but well into the future.
In order to foster critical thinking in a technological realm and to provide the means for exercising practical and responsible stewardship of digital assets in an age of technological uncertainty, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad and National ICT R&D Fund, Ministry of IT, Government of Pakistan are organizing a workshop on “Digital Preservation Management in Libraries and Documentation Centers” on February 04, 2016 at Seminar Hall of the Dr. Raziuddin Siddiqi Memorial Library, Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad. The workshop sessions will be geared towards making a digital preservation program doable for any organization and all of the sessions will include as many relevant examples for related institutions.

will be the resource persons for this workshop.
All Library professionals are cordially invited to attend this full day workshop. However, due to limited number of seats, the registration will be done on first come, first serve basis. The registration is FREE, attached form can be used to register yourself for the workshop.
